About This Spot

Stepping into Pho Na, also known as Saigon Rendezvous, feels like slipping into a quiet, unassuming retreat amid Olympia’s bustle. The space invites you to slow down — the rooms spread out with modestly spaced tables and a calm rhythm that suits both a peaceful solo meal or a relaxed dinner with friends. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t shout for attention but welcomes warmly with its understated charm and genuinely thoughtful service.

Though the building hints at stories past and wear from time, the atmosphere inside feels carefully cared for, centered around the simple joy of sharing good food. The gentle hum of conversations blends with the clinking of bowls and chopsticks, all framed by subtle aromas of lemongrass, fresh herbs, and simmering broths that promise comforting satisfaction.

At Pho Na, dishes come with a quiet confidence—no need for grand gestures. You sense the care in a bowl of pho, rich with broth slow-cooked to depth, balanced with fresh limes and sprouts to brighten each spoonful. There’s a thoughtful variety here, from savory grilled pork banh mi sandwiches that carry the crunch of fresh vegetables, to golden vegetarian egg rolls that feel like small, crisp celebrations of flavor.

The menu warmly invites you to linger a bit longer, exploring flavors that speak both of traditional Vietnamese roots and subtle Thai influences. Whether it’s the vibrant kick of yellow curry or the delicate harmony of a shrimp fresh roll, every bite feels like an invitation to savor, to pause, and listen to your own hunger in a welcoming space.

The staff’s kindness and attentiveness add a quiet layer of comfort, making spontaneous stops feel like homecomings rather than just quick meals. Whether you’re a local seeking a reliable backup or a new face drawn by the promise of honest, well-executed dishes, Pho Na offers a grounded, genuine experience where food and human moments quietly intertwine.

Lots of space, few tables. It is up scale atmosphere but in a building that need to be updated. Friendly server, chef delivered our Bhan Mi's and was super friendly. Brought more sprouts and limes. Reasonable price. Street parking. This wasn't our normal spot, but is a good back up.

I found myself in Olympia with a grumbly tummy. I happened upon Saigon Rendezvous by chance, with a parking spot right in front, so I took that as a sign to satiate my hungry stomach and try a new Thai place. I’m so glad I did. The outside certainly presented itself with a “dive-y” feeling, but I kind of like dives. I find they may not look pretty, but they usually have great food. Upon entry, the place was clean, roomy and plenty of available seating. The bathroom was clean and I always think that is a good sign! The seats, however, were definitely NOT curvy, hippy, big butt girl friendly! In fact, they were down right uncomfortable. So, be forewarned!! IF you have curves, the seats are not friendly. I ended up sitting very forward in the metal chair, because my hips just could not tolerate the pain. Besides that one negative, the rest of the review is positive. Because, the food was delish! I settled on my usual shrimp fresh rolls with peanut sauce and a bowl of chicken pho. The rolls were stuffed with yummy, crispy lettuce, carrots, sprouts, shrimp, cilantro, accompanied by a delicious peanut dipping sauce. Both were really tasty. The pho broth was sublime. So flavorful. The chicken in the soup was plentiful and the bean sprouts, lime and Thai basil were absolutely fresh. This meal made my grumbly tummy happy. The portions were substantial and enough for me to take half home to enjoy for my dinner! Yes! This is definitely a “dive” I plan on coming back to when I find myself in Olympia. The waiter was sweet and attentive. He was also the chef. I am assuming he was the owner as well. Two thumbs up for Saigon Rendezvous!

The front of house working tonight was so kind and warm. We spontaneously stopped for dinner and got pad Thai and the fresh roll. It was SO delicious!! Prices were great and the food even better. Will be coming here so much more often. (:
